Learn about the history of the Independence March

The first Independence March passed through the streets of Warsaw on the 11th November 2010. Sixteen years have passed since the first March. During this time the Independence March has grown into the largest patriotic demonstration in Europe. There is no other like it!

Currently each edition of the Independence March gathers over 100,000 Poles every year who proudly demonstrate their national identity. The Independence March has become a permanent part of Warsaw’s 11th of November landscape. For many Poles it is already a duty on Independence Day to participate in it.
